Our Mission
At ABC Preschool & Daycare, we exist to provide a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for preschool and school-age children. Since 1963, our focus has been on creating a stimulating early care and education experience that promotes every child’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.
We believe that every child has unlimited potential. Our goal is to support children’s natural desire to become lifelong learners, giving them the confidence to know they can achieve anything they aspire to in the future.
Our Curriculum Philosophy
Our approach to teaching is grounded in the Child-Centered Educational Philosophy, also known as Active Learning. This philosophy is based on Jean Piaget’s constructivist theory of child development and blends best practices from early childhood education.
We see children as active participants in their own learning. Through exploration, play, and discovery, children use their whole bodies and all their senses to understand the world around them. We view play as children’s work—a valuable time when they plan, test, question, and experiment to construct their own knowledge about people, objects, events, and ideas.

Amazing school . My child loves and enjoys coming to school everyday yet again the teachers are super nice and speak Spanish which it was a plus for me. We will definitely miss everyone next school year!
The lovely teachers at ABC took incredible care of both my kids for upwards of 4 years. The older was so well prepared for TK and both kids grew so much in their care. Convenience being next door to Castro Valley Elementary was so helpful. More than anything we always felt our kids were safe, supported and loved!
Very reasonably priced excellent daycare with good hours for working parents. My son and daughter both went here, had lots of friends, and came home happy every day. They have plenty of outdoor playtime and learned to be very independent little people here. You do not need to be potty trained to register at this school which is a huge plus. Teachers were also great at preparing my kids for preschool by teaching them how to write their name, numbers, and letters. Thanks for taking care of my children ABC.
My son started going to ABC as soon as he turned two, and today is his last day there before Kindergarten. It really is bittersweet- on one hand, we are so excited to start on our new adventure but on the other hand, we are sad to be leaving ABC! The quality of care he received at ABC was amazing- everyone from Ms. Tansy to all the teachers took such good care of him. They are compassionate and great educators. I am so thankful we found ABC and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a daycare/preschool!
