Toddlers (Ages 2–3 Years)
Our Toddler Program is designed to support the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social growth of each child in a nurturing environment that encourages self-discovery. At this stage, children are naturally curious and eager to explore. We provide continuity through familiar routines while also introducing exciting new experiences that build confidence and independence.
Through hands-on, developmentally appropriate activities, toddlers engage in early reading, math, science, and literacy concepts. Just as importantly, we place a strong emphasis on social development. Since children at this age are often still very “me-centered,” we gently guide them toward understanding the feelings and needs of others.
Our teachers also help toddlers learn healthy ways to express their own emotions and needs, laying the foundation for positive communication and strong relationships as they grow.
Preschool (Ages 3–4 Years)
Our Preschool Program is rooted in the Montessori philosophy, encouraging children to grow into independent, self-motivated learners who are confident in groups and receptive to new ideas. At this age, children are naturally eager to explore both academically and socially.
In a lively classroom environment, children engage in early literacy activities such as letter recognition, beginning writing, and foundational reading skills, along with hands-on math and science exploration. Classrooms are thoughtfully designed to give children opportunities to make decisions, practice self-help skills, and build confidence in a safe, supportive setting. Creative outlets such as music, dance, and art are an integral part of the curriculum, inspiring expression and imagination.
Pre-Kindergarten (Ages 4–5 Years)
Our Pre-Kindergarten Program emphasizes school readiness while keeping learning engaging and hands-on. Following the Montessori approach, children build independence and problem-solving skills through sensorial and practical life activities.
Academic foundations come to life through manipulative-based math, structured worksheets, and weekly science experiments that spark curiosity and connect directly to the letter of the week. Music, movement, and creative projects enrich the curriculum, helping children strengthen focus, cooperation, and self-confidence as they prepare for the transition to kindergarten.
After School Program (Ages 5–6 Years)
Designed specifically for TK and Kindergarten students, our After School Program provides an enriching environment that extends learning beyond the classroom. Children participate in activities that balance academic support, creative expression, and social growth, helping them continue to develop essential skills while enjoying fun, engaging experiences with their peers.
This program is available exclusively to students attending Castro Valley Elementary School, ensuring a safe and familiar community for children as they grow and learn.

Amazing school . My child loves and enjoys coming to school everyday yet again the teachers are super nice and speak Spanish which it was a plus for me. We will definitely miss everyone next school year!
The lovely teachers at ABC took incredible care of both my kids for upwards of 4 years. The older was so well prepared for TK and both kids grew so much in their care. Convenience being next door to Castro Valley Elementary was so helpful. More than anything we always felt our kids were safe, supported and loved!
Very reasonably priced excellent daycare with good hours for working parents. My son and daughter both went here, had lots of friends, and came home happy every day. They have plenty of outdoor playtime and learned to be very independent little people here. You do not need to be potty trained to register at this school which is a huge plus. Teachers were also great at preparing my kids for preschool by teaching them how to write their name, numbers, and letters. Thanks for taking care of my children ABC.
My son started going to ABC as soon as he turned two, and today is his last day there before Kindergarten. It really is bittersweet- on one hand, we are so excited to start on our new adventure but on the other hand, we are sad to be leaving ABC! The quality of care he received at ABC was amazing- everyone from Ms. Tansy to all the teachers took such good care of him. They are compassionate and great educators. I am so thankful we found ABC and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a daycare/preschool!
